Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to common questions about our products and services

How do I join the CSA program?
Joining our CSA is easy! You can sign up online through our website, visit us at any of our locations, or contact us directly. We offer flexible membership options with weekly or bi-weekly pickup, and you can choose from small, medium, or large shares based on your household size.
What makes your microgreens more nutritious?
Microgreens are harvested at their peak nutritional density, typically containing 4-40 times more nutrients than their mature vegetable counterparts. Our controlled environment growing ensures optimal conditions for maximum nutrient development, and we harvest and deliver within hours to preserve these nutrients.
How much fodder do I need for my livestock?
Fodder requirements vary by animal type and size. Cattle typically need 10-20kg per day, pigs 1-3kg, and sheep/goats 1-2kg. We recommend starting with 25% of their diet and gradually increasing to 50%. Use our fodder calculator or contact us for a personalized recommendation based on your specific animals.
Do you offer facility tours?
Yes! We love showing people how we grow their food. Tours are available by appointment at our Brock (weekends) and Downsview (weekdays) facilities. Tours last 60-90 minutes and include hands-on learning, tastings, and plenty of time for questions. Contact us to schedule your visit.
What is your delivery area?
We deliver throughout Durham Region with free delivery for CSA members and orders over $50. We also serve the Greater Toronto Area with a small delivery fee. Contact us if you're outside these areas - we may be able to arrange special delivery or pickup options.
How sustainable is your farming method?
Our controlled environment agriculture uses 95% less water than traditional farming, eliminates pesticide use, reduces food transportation by growing locally year-round, and captures carbon through regenerative practices. We're powered by renewable energy and follow circular economy principles to minimize waste.
